Mr. Ashank Desai, On Saturday, 6th February’16, Mr. Ashank Desai, founder and former Chairman of Mastek Ltd, paid a visit to Mushtifund Aryaan Higher Secondary School, Panjim – Goa.
Mastek and its group company Majesco together are presently a $200 -million, publicly-held IT players with global operations providing Enterprise Solutions to Insurance, Government, and Financial services organizations in North America, Europe, and the Asia Pacific region. Mr. Desai guides Mastek Foundation, whose mission is to enable “Informed Giving and Responsible Receiving”.
He interacted with the students about his life in the IT Sector and his experiences leading India’s software industry since its inception.
Mr. Desai introduced the students to the basics of the IT world and touched upon the ever expanding horizons of the software industry. He briefed the students on career options and the various things expected from them if they wish to enter the IT Sector, stressing greatly upon the need to develop one’s soft skills and etiquette to enhance client interaction.
He also spoke about the importance of young entrepreneurs in the market and the importance of new ideas and experiments by young generations. Mr. Desai ended the session by advising the students to work hard and study hard to pursue their dreams and to accept failures as building blocks of success.
