On Friday the 7th of May, the students of Mushtifund Aryaan higher secondary school got the amazing opportunity to interact with a former Aryaanite. Who shared his amazing experience at both Aryaan study circle and IIT Roorkee.

Sir began by telling us about how different the experience at Aryaans is compared to school and how here emphasis is on concept clearing and not rote learning. He had trouble and was struggling quite a bit in the starting of his classes here but slowly but steadily got used to it.

Sir also emphasised on completely understanding what our teachers and professors tell us and how important peer learning and bonding is. He also mentioned that a sacrifice of some of your hobbies temporarily Is required,

But at the end of it will be worth it!

Sir later told us about how we can plan our day and get used to a timetable that suits us well. We should have a balanced workflow, so it doesn’t cause us to feel any burn out.

Sir also told us about his experience at IIT Roorkee. He got Mechanical engineering, a branch he wanted, and it is interdisciplinary and includes almost every engineering field. He told us about how there are so many recreational activities at IIT’s and the inter IIT competitions and even about electric car build and racing. To experience all this is worth the 2 years of struggle we must endure in 11th and 12th. He also told us about the how staying around bright minds can improve the way you think and help you grow.

I would like to thank Mr. Aby Jose for coming and giving us this wonderful talk, which has motivated us to aim for an IIT or AIMMS and nothing else. I would also like to thank our director VPD sir for bringing such wonderful people to talk to us.
