On the of August 2021, we the students of Mushtifund Aryaan Higher Secondary School and Aryaan Study Circle were privileged to interact with yet another successful alumnus of Mushtifund Aryaan HigherSecondary School, Dr. Rahi Shetye who a gold medalist at the Goa Medical College as a medicine student.
Dr. Rahi Shetye gave us an insight into the medical system of India. She started by highlighting the beauty of medicine as a subject and profession. Doctor also shared with us her experience at GMC and as a part of the DHS. Doctor emphasized on the etiquettes that we must follow especially stressing on the fact that we must try to connect to the patient as that would make us much more efficient and responsible doctors. Further on Doctor explained the entrance exam to get into the medical college, she made it clear that it was physics that made the difference in the rank and that we must pay equal attention to math as well because in the future medicine advances it would all be interdisciplinary and knowledge of all the subjects is prerequisite to survive in the increasing competitive world.
Doctor explained to us that the USMLE exam was to be answered to be recognized as a doctor in USA and that it had to be answered from the 2nd year of medicine itself.
As the session neared a conclusion, we realized that the time had flown by as we listened to yet another bright personality of the Aryaan Study Circle the entire credit goes to the our own and very dynamic director Sir VPD.
In conclusion of the session, I had the honor to propose the Vote of Thanks to Dr. Rahi Shetye who showered her experience and knowledge on us.
