On 28th September 2021, we the students of Aryaan Study Circle were privileged to interact with the former Aryaanite Dr.Shivam Goel who is currently studying in AIIMS Delhi.
During the session, he spoke about his experience at Aryaans. He also praised the teaching and the facilities of our institute that had helped him to excel one of the toughest medical entrance examinations across the country.Additionally, he spoke about his life at JIPMER which is a well-known institute in the country. Soon after he told us how fascinating it is to meet and interact with numerous brilliant students from all over India.Furthermore, he threw some light on the teaching skills at JIPMER where they integrate theoretical and clinical learning from 1st year itself. Thereafter he clearly mentioned that Biology is not just a subject to be memorized but you must also understand the concepts.
Following that he briefly spoke about NEET PG where they test everything you have learnt in your 5 and half year course. Beside that he told us how AIIMS is different from JIPMER. He also added that there is absolutely no spoon feeding at AIIMS. At AIIMS they follow a western type of learning, and they also make you interact with brilliant doctors from all over the world.Later the Doctor spoke about how the COVID pandemic has affected the world and how to prevent the deadly disease. Then we had an exclusive discussion on covid vaccine and how it helps to avoid severe symptoms of the disease. After that, he told us about the covid vaccination for children.
In the end, he answered all the questions which were asked by the teachers and students beautifully. I am extremely grateful that I have such an amazing opportunity to propose vote of thanks to Dr. Shivam Goel who showered us with his knowledge and experience.
