We, Aryaanites started our November with a bang! We heard his excellency
Sir Suresh Prabhu, the current chancellor of Rishihood University and former
Union Minister Of Railways Of India.
We had a Q&A Session and we had some of the finest questions from Sir
VPD and the students which were answered by Sir Suresh in the most Exquisite
and Elegant way possible. Firstly, sir made us understand the importance of
policies and how they contribute to the happiness of the people of the country.
Then, sir told us about bureaucratic delays and told us that your offices received
thousands of complaints and this combined with the “Railways” side of things
escalates issues to a whole other level. Further, you told us that the
employees/workers should be given credit for the work they do as this really
helps keep them happy and motivated to work better. You also told us that India’s
Business Growth is a reflection of its entrepreneurial excellence and the success
of the entrepreneurs was a function of the conditions created by the government
for them, which would flourish if the regulations were scrapped.
Furthermore, you told us about the many prevailing inter-state river water
disputes. Also, you told us that the resolution of these dispute began with the
identification of the cause of the dispute and the Supreme Court must assume a
motherly figure and carry out the distribution of river water as per need. Then, you
moved on to tell us that getting close to the people and understanding their
needs is very important, only then you can incorporate them into laws and
ensure.
All in all, this session was an eye-opener for a lot of us and we really got into
the depth of the working of the country while also having tons of fun.
