We Aryaanites had yet another wonderful evening filled with awe as we interacted with the business tycoon Sir Nitish Raikar. He captivated us in his endearing language and speech and a perpetually smiling and happy face.

He started off by telling us about his college life in GEC.  Where he had great academic success, after which he decided to look for jobs and explore the world, but with little success and so he decided do a course offered by IBM in the IT sector. Following this he started looking for jobs again but was not as successful either, however Sir never gave up always looked ant everything as if it was a challenge waiting to be accepted. His career took off a little late as he told us, but after it did, he has never looked back and only explored new facets of the market and career.

Later, he told us about the time when he left IBM and joined a host of other huge companies including Infosys, and also happened to work with the Ministry of Rural Development.

Then as he went ahead, we listened in awe the tales of his exciting tenure. He then came to Goa. Back home he had big plans for the geriatric community but the outbreak of the pandemic stalled it for a while. But nothing has ever stopped Sir Nitish Raikar and attitude towards life has helped him to achieve what he always wanted to. He is now the CEO of another big company ‘Killowott’. After this Sir told us bout Lakshmi, Sarasvati and Durga Hindu Goddesses who symbolised money, knowledge and security respectively, which drive us to do work. He then told us that a career was a continuous process of updating our skills and overall personality. And alternately the career was also at the intersection of industry and line of business. Next, were told about the skills which were divided into core skills and content skills. Of these the content skills were developed during the academic tenure of an individual. And the core skills included the soft skills, which were very important for success as they helped us to make relations and contacts and maintain them.

Our key takeaway from this session was, perseverance and a smiling face towards all the circumstances was the key to success. And time absolutely flew by as we spoke to sir Nitish Raikar.

As the session came to a conclusion, I had the privilege to propose the Vote of thanks to Nitish Raikar.

All such supremely interesting sessions are only possible because of the wide scope of brilliant contacts that our director Sir Vpd has
