Dr. Kaushik created a new found interest amongst our medical aspirants in this field. She also highlighted the salient features of Gene Delivery, Tissue Engineering, Application of molecular diagnostics and about the path breaking discovery where applications are based on tumor targeting and drug delivery to specific targets in the body.
This insightful talk was followed by a presentation from Prof. D.M.Kulkarni on the Features and Scope of Mechanical Engineering as one of the most versatile branches of Engineering. Professor Kulkarni spoke about the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics and by applying it to real life situations he got the students more interested and involved in its concepts. He also highlighted how the comprehensive amalgamation of Science, Engineering and Technology helps in making our lives easier by way of new inventions. “The most exciting phrase to hear in science, the one that heralds the most discoveries, is not ‘Eureka!’ but ‘That’s funny…’ by Isaac Asimov
The mysteries of the Universe can be unravelled by Science and such interactive sessions do help the students to ponder over what is beyond and its happenings!
